Our community café was set up in 2014 by a few members of New Hope Christian Centre, the church in which C.A.N runs its programmes. The aim of the café was to create a welcoming place for members of the community to have tea and cakes as well as receiving the help and advice they need. C.A.N has volunteers who are trained to signpost and offer the appropriate advise to a range of issues that people bring to the café. If you are in this area and need help or advice, please come and see one of our volunteers on a Wednesday.

Aside from assisting those with needs, the café is a way in which C.A.N meets and gets to know the members of the community. Many who come through the doors of the café stay with us as volunteers, either on a Wednesday at the café or on one of our other programmes. It's a great chance to meet new people and find out how you can get more involved in the Lakenham community.
